For quick navigation to the most common tools used in Revit, users can customize the Quick Access Toolbar. Revit starts with the basics, as indicated in the image below. However, most tools can be added to the toolbar based on the user's preference.
To add a tool to the Quick Access Toolbar, right-click on the tool (such as Room) and select the option to Add to Quick Access Toolbar. When the tool is no longer needed in the Quick Access Toolbar, you can right-click on the icon and select the option to Remove from Quick Access Toolbar.
Assemble Publisher can also be added to the Quick Access Toolbar. Navigate to the Publish Model to Assemble button from within the Assemble tab. Right-click on the Publish button and/or the Sync button and select the option to Add to Quick Access Toolbar. Additionally, the hot key for Assemble is [Alt] + [#] then [#] on your keyboard (where # # are the specific numbers that Revit shows you).
The basic tool icons are listed below (the tool's keyboard shortcut, if applicable, will follow).
