Release Notes for February 27, 2014 Upgrade

Assemble Systems will be performing an upgrade of Assemble on Thursday, February 27th, from 8:00 PM-2:00 AM CDT. During this time frame, the Assemble web application may be unavailable for brief periods.

Users will be required to update the add-in for Revit and AutoCAD.

The upgrade will include expanded capabilities and address bugs that have been brought to our attention.

Enhancements Added

Properties Manager

Welcome to the new and improved properties pane, where you have instance access to all instance and type properties for your model elements! You will find more type properties available for editing, and instance properties, too! Link to project documentation using the URL fields, and when you're done with your changes, sync them back to your original or revised model. To learn more about Working with the Properties Manager, click here.

NOTE: Models published prior to February 28th, 2014, will have limited properties in the Properties Manager. To learn more about Limited Properties in the Properties Manager, click here.

NOTE: Prior to this feature, in an effort to optimize extraction and load, we did not extract parameters from Revit in which all property values for elements extracted are null. With the release of the Properties Manager, all parameters are extracted and imported, regardless of value, including null values. The existing behavior remains that same for read-only parameters.

Sync Log File

Once the updates have been successfully applied after syncing Assemble data back to your Revit model, click the Close button to close the Sync dialogue window or click View Log to see an audit trail of all model elements that were modified using the Sync feature.

The Log file will indicate what version in Assemble the information was synced from, each element identified by its ID, the parameter that was modified, and the previous and updated values.
