Assemble provides support for the use of Imperial or Metric project units of measurement on a per project basis. By default, projects units will be set according to the project units as defined in the authoring tool. If models have conflicting project units, the project will assume the units for the first model published.
Option 1: Publishing
On the first publish of a model version to a new project, Assemble will attempt to determine whether the model is using Metric or Imperial units. If, for example, a model is published with Metric units, Assemble will automatically switch the Project Units setting for the target project to Metric.
Option 2: Project Settings within Assemble
A Project Administrator can set the Project Units for a given project at any time, even after multiple models have been published to the project.
Note: If Unit Cost is applied to an Imperial unit, and then the project settings are set to Metric, the unit cost will not be converted to the Metric unit of measure. The unit cost will remain as is. This behavior will remains consistent when starting in Metric with Unit Costs and switching to Imperial.
When setting the system to Imperial, the following units are used for dimensions listed:
|Gallons Per Minute||GPM||Flow|
When setting the system to Metric, the following units are used for dimensions listed:
|Liters Per Second||LPS||Flow|
