Manage Assemble Properties

Assemble Properties facilitate model conditioning and data exchange for user defined properties without the need to create parameters in Revit. An easy way to condition a model with information outside of the design model so that you can organize a model in the way you want to see it.

You are able to manage the list of Assemble Properties in your Assemble site and in specific projects:

Managing Assemble Properties on a site level

5. In the opened window, name the property as desired. You can click on "Create another property" if you need to add multiple properties at the same time.

6. Click "Done" to exit the window. The new property is now added to the list of default properties.

7. Click on the properties in the left panel to add them to the list of properties in the right panel.

8. Click on the "x" button next to the properties in the right panel to move them back to the left panel.

Note: Removing a property from the list of "Default Assemble Properties" won't affect your existing projects. It will only affect the projects that you create in future. For removing a property from your existing projects, you need to manage the property on the project level (see below).

Notes:

1. Adding a property to "Default Assemble Properties" on a site level, will add that property as an Active Assemble Property to all existing and future projects.

2. Removing a property from "Default Assemble Properties" on a site level, will hide that property only from future projects.

3. Removing a property from "Active Assemble Properties" on a project level, will not entirely delete that property and its assigned values from the project. It will only hide that property from the list of Active Assemble Properties. You can always bring the properties back to your project including all assigned values by clicking on the property in the left panel. So, by removing a property on a project level you won't lose the data associated with that property.

4. Removing and adding properties from "Active Assemble Properties" on a project level only affects the list of Assemble Properties on that specific project. It will not influence the other projects in the site.

5. Once the properties are added to the "Available Assemble Properties" on a site level or a project level, they cannot be deleted from the list.

6. Once the properties are added to the "Available Assemble Properties" on a project level, they will be also available on the "Available Assemble Properties" on a project level.

7. Currently, you can only use letters and numbers when adding Assemble Properties. Special Characters are not allowed.
